Event Spaces

MAIN

Event Space is all about reviewing different venues across the UK. Over the next few months I will be sharing my visits and details of the events spaces I believe event planners will be very interested in!

Event Space: The Ritz London

London’s Most Sought After and Luxurious Event Spaces.

Whilst in London for the UK Blog Awards I definitely made the most of my trip! For most events professionals London is seen as “the place to be!” offering a range of stunning locations, versatile floor spaces and a lot of event planning opportunity. An event trend that’s been increasingly popular in 2016 is private dinners and that’s what I have been seeking out in London, these smaller more intimate event spaces.

The Ritz London

Being into English History and Period Dramas It was an emotional visit for me as the last ever Christmas special of Downton Abbey was filmed at Piccadilly’s finest the Ritz.  Across the globe the Ritz London is renowned as a symbol of high society and luxury, welcoming royalty, aristocrats and stars since its opening in 1906 “history lesson for today completed!”

On arrival I was greeted by Sarah from the marketing team who gave me the grand tour. The Ritz is the ideal location for large or small dinner events. All their event spaces have stunning high ceilings with dazzling gold “real gold” features, if you’re looking to impress your guest the Ritz will not disappoint. My favourite rooms for a private dinner event were the William Kent Room “the red room” this Italian style room could accommodate up to 24 guest for dinner with views across Green Park. The Marie Antoinette Suite has a more delicate elegance to it, versatile space and ceiling with coloured uplighters offer event planners more options with layout and décor. This suit can accommodate up to 100 guest depending on your layout.

Rosewood – London

Rosewood London

I have always only heard great things about the Rosewood chain, growing up in the Caribbean Island of Antigua, Rosewood Jumby Bay Resort is a stunning property. On arrival the property cannot be missed, entering the grand Edwardian courtyard with luxury cars and tranquil atmosphere I was without a doubt at the right hotel.  I was greeted by Ben Hopkins, Senior Events Manager who did the honour of the showground beginning in the Grand Ballroom Foyer, which has the most dramatic and impressive staircase entrance overlooking the Grand Ballroom. The foyer can accommodate up to 340 for a reception, ideal for large company events. The highlight for me in this area, and something I haven’t seen at any other venue is a cash machine! Very discreetly located below the staircase, next to a handful of reception phones, Ideal for charity events!

Event Space: Four Seasons Hotel London – Park Lane

London’s Most Sought After and Luxurious Event Spaces.

Four Seasons Hotel London – Park Lane

My first impression at the Four Seasons was wow! Located in the heart of Mayfair the Four Seasons London is set in a very green central location. Throughout the visit the theme of elegance was radiant, I met with Ewan Cheung Assistant Director of Catering who gave me the grand tour. We made our way to the first floor where most of the function suits were located again very impressed with the layout and flow of the spaces making it ideal for multiple events. On entry the Red Foyer will defiantly impress your guests, however for me the Hamilton suit was stunning ideal for private dining and receptions this suit overlooked Hyde Park and Park Lane with floor to ceiling glass. This room had the capacity to host up to 50 for a reception or 40 Banqueting.

On the opposite side of the first floor the main event space is located the Ball Room, this room is ideal for the larger events such as awards evenings of gala dinner. However as see with a lot of other venues the Ball Room does have a partition separating into Ball Room A and B, this option is so important for event planners especially if they are uncertain on numbers they can make the room smaller or larger when necessary. The maximum number the Ball Room can accommodate is 500 reception style of 320 theatre style.  There are six other function rooms on the first floor which range in capacity and décor, event planners will defiantly be spoilt for choice at the Four Season.

Bulgari Hotel London ballroomdiningsetup

Located in Knightsbridge, the Bulgari Hotel stood out to me because of its unique appeal being a famous fine gemstone jewellery and luxury watches brand, which appeals to the intimate private dinning events. From the outside of Bulgari London, the very sophisticated contemporary architecture is the outer layer covering the very cosy and beautifully laid out interior. I felt very comfortable and that’s a plus as with some luxurious venues guest sometimes may fell uncomfortable and this is something to bear in mind when event planning “your guest experience on arrival”.

I was greeted by PR Manager Astrid who gave me the grand tour! We made our way through the hotel leading to the purposely build event spaces. The rooms where very flexible and equipped with the latest technologies. The Private dinner rooms gave guest the options to have a more glamorous dinner with lovely drapes or a more cooperate board meeting dinner atmosphere with oak finished walls.  Their Ballroom and pre-event reception foyer area can cater for up to 140 guests with its own private bar. I have a thing for lighting and chandlers if you share this passion you will definitely be amazed with the Ballroom ceiling!
