London’s Most Sought After and Luxurious Event Spaces.
Whilst in London for the UK Blog Awards I definitely made the most of my trip! For most events professionals London is seen as “the place to be!” offering a range of stunning locations, versatile floor spaces and a lot of event planning opportunity. An event trend that’s been increasingly popular in 2016 is private dinners and that’s what I have been seeking out in London, these smaller more intimate event spaces.
Rosewood – London
I have always only heard great things about the Rosewood chain, growing up in the Caribbean Island of Antigua, Rosewood Jumby Bay Resort is a stunning property. On arrival the property cannot be missed, entering the grand Edwardian courtyard with luxury cars and tranquil atmosphere I was without a doubt at the right hotel. I was greeted by Ben Hopkins, Senior Events Manager who did the honour of the showground beginning in the Grand Ballroom Foyer, which has the most dramatic and impressive staircase entrance overlooking the Grand Ballroom. The foyer can accommodate up to 340 for a reception, ideal for large company events. The highlight for me in this area, and something I haven’t seen at any other venue is a cash machine! Very discreetly located below the staircase, next to a handful of reception phones, Ideal for charity events!
Making our way into the Grand Ballroom, which was being set up for an evening wedding reception the space was fantastic, depending on your event layout this room has a capacity of up to 555. The Ballroom can be partitioned into three sections with Ballroom 2 being the biggest section accommodating up to 150 depending on event layout. Again room partitions are great for event planners having the option to be creative with the venue space.
I was then shown to the Salon area, which also can be accessed via the grand staircase. In total there are 5 salons, ideal for seminars, networking and team activities. Event planners may also find these Salon suits ideal for break out rooms and syndicate room use. The Salons can also be partitioned into two, three, four and five separate rooms. Depending on your event layout the Salons can accommodate up to one hundred attendees.
The best part of this visit was the Private Dinning area, The Living Room and The Dining Room. Located on the ground floor, these two rooms allow your guest to feel at home. Both rooms are private contiguous rooms, this space is definitely my favorite as it’s the first event space I have been to where guest can have a private dinner and have a unique culinary experience as this space has a kitchen! How cool is that…and a fully stocked fridge drinks and all! Highly recommended for event planners looking for a private dining experience with a twist!
The Chairman’s Boardrooms were the last event spaces we viewed, Ben did give a little history of the building and the significance of these rooms. These rooms ‘Sir George, Sir James and Sir Geoffrey’ were named after three pass chairmen of Pearl Assurance who formally occupied the building. The rooms are ideal for board meetings, lunch or private dinning up to fourteen people, showcasing its original features as these rooms are listed.
Overall I absolutely loved every minute of being at Rosewood London, the event spaces are first class…Very Highly Recommended!
