Yesterday I had the lovely task of finding suitable venues for a few upcoming events. This task took me to Chester where I visited four venues all of which I was very impressed with, and some more than others!
My first stop was actually an impromptu stop, Macdonald Craxton Wood Hotel & Spa. My first impressions was great as they had a lot of car parking space and private entrance to the main entrance conference and event area. The receptionist was very welcoming and I was shown to the residents bar area and conservatory where I met with the Operations Manager who gave me a tour of the conference and events facilities.
We entered through the private reception area ideal for drink receptions and guest registration. The main event space the Craxton Suite 1 & 2 was very impressive with a max capacity of 400, the room was set for a wedding and was very well presented. The colour scheme was very neutral which I immediately liked as it allows the room to be transformed by venue dressers for all types of events. This suit can be split into two conference room or combined into one large space with 4 bars and direct access to the outdoors.
