The Christmas celebrations have come to an end, the fun is over and it’s time to get back into the game! This is not just a time for new year’s resolutions but for some of you it’s the joyous time for writing your dissertations! Choosing a topic for your dissertation can be a stressful undertaking for some students, however, this is your opportunity to dictate your final grade. Personally, I found choosing the topic harder than the actual writing and research.
I would recommend using your dissertation to your advantage. Best example is to make your topic relatable to the industry or role you wish to pursue after graduation. In this way, you can relate to your project in interviews. This will impress your interviewers especially if it’s an issue or topic directly affecting their company.
The Hardest Thing Is Starting
My dissertation topic changed over three times a week because as I would research a topic I constantly found new interests and avenues to explore and write about! So after much adaptations and alterations, my topic evolved into a completely different one inspired by a more informed point of view.
