It can be a daunting task when you first agree to manage someone’s party, birthday bash or wedding, not made easier from the fact we are all amazingly different and like different things, which is great for the human race but not so much when you need to get the right cake topping! That’s why I’ve drawn on my experience to give this brief guide on what you should be doing if you want to successfully manage your event. I hope to expand on these going forward but right now here’s a run down:
Understand the Mission, the Purpose, or the Point of the organisation and events;
- What are our objectives of your organisation or clients, what are our stakeholders, external partners and delegate’s objectives for attending these events?
- What do they what to get out of it?
- What I have learnt is to always remember that every organisation whether internal or external will have their set objective of what they want to achieve. So working closely and communicating effectively with the marketers will help all stakeholders meet their individual objectives.
